abstract: Nowadays, many people utilize social media to get information, both positive and negative. One of the media that is widely used is movies. Film as a mass communication media is a tool to convey various messages. The message in the movie can later be received by the audience so that the message in the movie can influence the attitude of the audience in everyday life. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out how Budi Pekerti Movie represents the message of patience. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, which uses the Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method where a message can be seen from the signs that appear. Roland Barthes' theory contains important elements, including signifer, signifier, denotation, connotation, and myth. Then the agenda setting theory to emphasize the explanation of the analysis conducted. The results of this study show that in several scenes in the Budi Pekerti film, the message of patience is represented through the use of semiotic signs. The message of patience represented in Budi Pekerti is patience in dealing with insults, patience in dealing with children's bad behavior, patience in dealing with children's bad behavior, and patience in dealing with children's bad behavior.
