description: FIFA's decision to drop Indonesia as the host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup has left all Indonesians, especially football fans, feeling shocked and disappointed, as the preparations made by Indonesia for the international event were suddenly cancelled following FIFA's sudden decision. Indonesia's failure to host the FIFA U-20 World Cup has attracted significant attention from the mass media, especially the online media Bola.tempo.co, which also framed the reality of Indonesia's failure to host. Therefore, in this study, researchers will analyse the framing done by Bola.tempo.co towards the reality by using Robert M. Entman's framing method which consists of four framing devices namely define problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendation. The results of this study show that Bola.tempo.co tends to frame the reality as a form of disappointment and loss experienced by Indonesia. In addition, Bola.tempo.co also highlighted FIFA's lack of transparency in making the decision to drop Indonesia as the host of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, especially regarding the main reason behind FIFA's decision. However, apart from this, Bola.tempo.co also provides recommendations for resolution, by calling for not losing hope and collectively working to transform national football into a better and more accomplished sport.
