Erni Munastiwi, MM. abstract: Starting from the assumption that Generation Z children lack independence because this generation grew up in the era of rapidly developing digital technology, facilitated by convenience, resulting in less effort to achieve things and making children less independent. Apart from independence, other problems arise from children's creativity. Even though creativity is a valuable resource, there are several problems that can often hinder or hinder a child's creative expression, including a lack of support from parents and the surrounding environment to develop creativity. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research using a field research approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The Miles & Huberman model data analysis technique follows the flow of using data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions or verification. Test the validity of the data using a credibility test which is carried out by extending observations and triangulation of sources, techniques and time. This study aims to: First, the implementation of cultivating children's independence and creativity at Mashhitoh Al-Kautsar Kindergarten includes; playing Lego, playing while learning to make cakes, playing with blocks, coloring without limits, role playing and practicing brushing your teeth, playing with nature or exploring the outdoors. Second, the creative play method can have positive impacts, including: (a) increasing independence in self-care, independence in learning, independence in social interactions, independence in decision making, independence in solving problems, independence in self-expression and independence in conveying ideas. and opinions.
