The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta. The subjects of this study included students, literacy team, librarians, and math teachers. The sampling in this study used purposive sampling, with 61 students, literacy team representatives, librarian representatives, and math teachers as respondents. Data collection techniques used interviews, documentation studies, observations, questionnaires, and tests. Validity analysis by expert judgment. Then for the reliability of the instrument using Cronbach Alpha, the score for the questionnaire was 0.839 and for the test was 0.638 with the estimated reliability of the instrument meeting the provisions for use. Data analysis techniques related to qualitative data in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Then for quantitative data analysis in this study includes descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing. The results of the research on the input stage, SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta has made plans and strategies that are in accordance with the principles of the GLS learning stage issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture and also in accordance with the strategies of the GLS master design. At the input stage, human resources and infrastructure support the implementation of the GLS program, this can be seen from the literacy team that strives to continue to develop literacy. The literacy team also strives to fulfill various infrastructure facilities supporting literacy in schools, although there are still shortcomings in infrastructure facilities. At the process stage, the implementation of GLS at SMPN 5 Yogyakarta is adjusted to the GLS guidelines made by the Ministry of Education and Culture and adjusted according to school conditions. At the time of implementation, GLS also experienced obstacles, namely lack of time, teachers who were not maximally implementing GLS, the location of the library on the top floor, student awareness in working on literacy journals, and cellphone abuse during GLS activities. The literacy team has routinely conducted evaluations every semester based on student monitoring, and from journals done by students as well as suggestions and feedback. GLS activities can also develop mathematical critical thinking skills, namely with numeracy activities so that students where students work on numeracy problems. At the products stage, the results of the GLS program are in the form of student response journals and monitoring reports. Based on indicators of the achievement of the GLS program at the learning stage and the achievement of the GLS program objectives, SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta is said to be successful in implementing the GLS program, although there are still several activities that are not optimal.
