I. abstract: This research aims to determine the influence of leadership and managerial leadership of madrasah heads on the quality of performance of teaching staff and education staff at MAN 1 Gunungkidul. This research is an ex post facto type with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 30 teaching staff and educational staff. Techniques for collecting data using questionnaires and documentation. The instrument validation test was carried out by providing content validation with Aiken V, while the reliability test used the Cronbach Alpha method with the help of the JASP application version 0.18.1.0. Based on the research results, it shows that: (1) the leadership of the madrasah head (X1) has a significant influence on the quality of performance of educational staff (Y1) with a p value of 0.001<0.05, and an R² value of 0.959, meaning that the leadership of the madrasah head contributes 95.9% on the quality of teaching staff. (2) the leadership of the madrasa head (X1) has a significant influence on the quality of the performance of educational staff (Y2) with a p value of 0.001<0.05 and an R² value of 0.950, meaning that the leadership of the madrasa head contributes 95% to the quality of educational staff. (3) Madrasa head managerial (X2) has a significant influence on the quality of performance of educational staff (Y1) with a p value of 0.001<0.05 and an R² value of 0.954, meaning that madrasa head managerial contributes 95.4% to the quality of teaching staff.
