abstract: The discourse on the formation of Islamic families is experiencing rapid development in both knowledge and technology. In the process of integrating Islamic values into society, key players include preachers, material, strategies, and the targets of da'wah, particularly the da'wah delivered by female preachers. Female preachers play an important role in empowering their peers in constructing religious knowledge in the digital space. This research focuses on Aisah Dahlan's da'wah program on social media, based on several arguments. Aisah Dahlan is one of the most active figures in sharing understanding and education about Islamic families on digital platforms. Her sermons are popular among her audience, as evidenced by the thousands of views on her Youtube channel, making her a reference for married couples in shaping household behavior.
Based on the above academic issues, this research poses the fundamental questions: How does Aisah Dahlan construct the formation of Islamic families through her sermon videos on social media? And how does Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis apply to Aisah Dahlan's discourse on the formation of Islamic families on social media? To answer these questions, this research employs a content analysis approach using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis theory. Data for this study were collected through content analysis of Aisah Dahlan's sermons on Islamic families delivered on social media platforms.
This research resulted in several findings. First, Aisah Dahlan plays an important role in shaping Islamic family discourse in the digital era through social media. digital era through social media. The orthodoxy of Islamic family law, which is outlined in the content of her lectures, is based on authoritative sources in Islam such as the Qurān, Hadith, and scholarly opinions. The main objective of her talks is to provide a better and practical understanding of how Islamic family law can be applied in daily life. Second, by analyzing Aisah Dahlan's discourse through Norman Fairclough's perspective, it is apparent that she seeks to change the social structure and cultural practices of the Islamic family. She encourages the renewal of religious understanding that is relevant to the modern context, avoiding conservative views that are not in accordance with the reality of life today by basing it on principles that have been generally recognized in Islamic Islamic teachings.
