Early childhood education institutions in Indonesia are developing rapidly, offering special characteristics such as natural schools, culturally nuanced schools, religion-based schools and so on. The formation of new innovations in educational institutions is one form of transformation. There is also another form of transformation that we encounter, namely the change in the status of private educational institutions to become state education, which is one of the efforts to improve access and quality of educational services in Indonesia and one of them is at TK Negeri 7 Yogyakarta City. Therefore, researchers are interested in analyzing and researching the transformation of TK Negeri 7 Yogyakarta City, which was previously the PWS Surokarsan Kindergarten under the PKK Kota Yogyakarta foundation which has been transformed since 2021. This research uses qualitative-descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques use interview, observation and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Then, for data validity, source triangulation and technical triangulation techniques were carried out. The results of this research show that: 1) the first transformation process carried out by TK Negeri 7 Yogyakarta City is to understand the conditions when the school still had private status (unfreezing), namely that the school was still managed by TP-PKK and the school's funding source came from Private BOSDA and money. SPP. Second, the steps for change in education (movement) begin with the change of school principals and school elements who agree to the change. The stages of change in TK Negeri 7 Yogyakarta City follow the procedures set by the Yogyakarta City government. The final stage is stabilizing (refreezing), this is done by implementing new regulations and culture by the school, such as replacing employees who are not ASN. 2) The driving factor for this change came from internal factors, namely the replacement of the principal who had educational experience in the previous year at TK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta City. 3) The positive impact of these changes can be seen in the increase in school funding sources, namely from State BOSDA, BOP and Committee money as well as increased public interest in enrolling their children in these schools, especially those from lower middle class economies. The negative impact of this demolition is that the function of the building cannot be used for public purposes, especially those that are continuous or incidental. %Z Pembimbing: Irwanto M.Pd.
