description: One of the roles of the clergy referred to in the law relates to the role of correcting the clergy. the role of correction is important in maintaining the alignment of the material and substance of regional regulations or qanuns related to Islamic law. This law has not been properly and perfectly spelled out regarding binding legal force in the Ulama Deliberative Council regarding its fatwas to be carried out in ongoing sessions. The Qanun has not yet clearly stated the rights  and authorities of the Ulama Deliberative Council in providing input and additions as well as correcting regional regulations/qanuns that will be ratified together with the DPRK and the government. Here, the ulema are only legal interpreters in making or drafting local regulations/qanuns that will be ratified jointly in districts/cities, the decisions of which are only in the hands of the government  The type of research used is field research using the law approach and siyasah fiqh books. While the method of data analysis uses a descriptive analysis method which describes the facts contained in the position of the Ulama Deliberative Council and analyzes or describes carefully and directed in an effort to evaluate the existence of the Ulama Deliberative Council.  The final results of this study show: first, the inputs and suggestions given by the Ulama Consultative Assembly in court related to the discussion of regional regulations/qanuns that are not binding or have permanent legal force to implement whatever has been conveyed in the courtroom, regarding input and suggestions which has been given by the MPU at the DPRK trial can accept or reject it, which decision is in the hands of the DPRK, the DPRK can accept input and suggestions to implement or reject it. Second, Law no. 2 of 2009 concerning the Ulema Consultative Council (MPU) with the birth of this law, the MPU has equal degrees in government. That the MPU has the right to position, function and authority in providing considerations for good governance in the fields of government, development, economy, socio-culture and society
