abstract: Community economic development strategies are needed to help increase community income. The existence of an economic development strategy has a positive impact on people who want to open a business. Of course, this cannot be separated from the role of the local government involved in it. In addition, support and roles from internal and external parties are also needed to achieve common goals.
This study aims to determine the community's economic development strategy and the results of the community's economic development strategy with the religious tourism object of the grave of Sheikh Mudzakkir Sayung, Demak. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research which in the data collection process uses observation, interview and documentation techniques.
The results of the study show that there are several community economic development strategies in this religious tourism, including the construction of damaged road access, creating new jobs, good management of religious tourism management, and developing community business products. This tour is managed directly by the family or descendants of Bani Mudzakkir. In practice, the management is assisted by the community in developing, caring for and maintaining Sheikh Mudzakkir's religious tourism.
The development of Sheikh Mudzakkir's religious tourism has made the place famous among the wider community. Every day it is always crowded by pilgrims who come from various cities. This has a positive impact on the surrounding community to open small businesses around the tomb. Therefore, the results of the community economic development strategy are seen in terms of effectiveness, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy.
