This research aims to analyze the communication strategies of educational institutions in cultivating the interest of prospective new students at Junior High School 2 Ketanggungan. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods such as observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that Junior High School 2 Ketanggungan has implemented several communication strategies such as spenduket festivals, outreach to elementary schools, collaboration with the school environment, taking the ball to residents' homes, distributing brochures and selecting the right communicator. Therefore, the communication strategy implemented is quite effective, as can be seen from the increase in the number of students every year. It has been proven that over the last 3 years there has been an increase in the number of new students with an average annual increase of around 48 students from the total number of students. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. Mokhamad Mahfud, S.Sos.I.
