N2 - This study analyzes the factors that can influence the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia. The analyzed factors are external factors of the halal industry, which include population, per capita income, inflation rate, infrastructure development, human resource quality, and technology development. This study uses secondary data obtained from publications of the Central Statistics Agency, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. The analysis involves 34 provinces in the period of 2020 to 2023, using the panel data regression method. The results of the study show that simultaneously all independent variables have a positive effect on the growth of the halal industry. Partially, population, and human resource quality have a positive effect, and the variables of inflation and technology development have a negative effect. Meanwhile, the variables of per capita income and infrastructure development do not have a significant effect on the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia.
