The problems that\r\noccur against women in the world of tourism make the formation of an\r\norganization that wants to help and oversee the problems of women in the world\r\nof tourism, namely “Women in Tourism Indonesia”. Women in Tourism\r\nIndonesia is an NGO that focuses on empowering women who are active in the\r\ntourism sector.\r\nThe object of this research is the role of the Women in Tourism Indonesia\r\norganization in empowering women in the Indonesian tourism sector. This\r\nresearch uses a case study approach, a case study is a qualitative research\r\napproach regarding detailed information about individual groups, institutions and\r\nso on within a certain period of time, data collection techniques in this study\r\ninclude observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis and\r\nvalidity techniques with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing.\r\nThis research uses Longwe's gender analysis theory as an analysis.\r\nWomen in Tourism Indonesia has programs to empower women both\r\nonline and offline. Women in Tourism Indonesia experiences obstacles in funding\r\nand packaging the content of its programs, but still manages to have a significant\r\npositive impact on the women who participate in its programs. The programs\r\ncarried out by Women in Tourism Indonesia also involve collaboration with other\r\nparties to succeed the organization's programs and reach a larger audience.\r\nThe research shows that despite improvements in welfare, access and\r\ncritical awareness, many women are still at lower levels of participation and\r\ncontrol. In the control dimension, not all women involved in the Women in\r\nTourism Indonesia empowerment program reached this stage.
