description: This study was motivated by the large number of plants in the Curug Sewu Kendal Tourism Area, especially lower plants that have not been utilized as a learning resource. The limitation of students to access lower plants in the Curug Sewu Kendal Tourism Area caused by limited permitions, time, and costs makes it necessary to develop learning resources in printed form. This study aims to determine the diversity of lower plants in the Curug Sewu Kendal Tourism Area, develop a lower plant catalog, and determine the feasibility of the products developed. This research uses belt transect methods at two research stations. This research is included in the type of research R & D (Research and Development). The development research method with the 4-D model is define, design, develop, disseminate which is limited to the develop stage. The results of the study were found 56 species of lower plants with an H' value of 2.98 at station I and 2.96 at station II. Media development in printed form in the form of a lower plant catalog. The product was assessed using an assessment instrument in the form of a qualitative data check list questionnaire sheet which was converted into quantitative data. The product was assessed by 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 5 peer reviewers, 1 biology teacher, and 15 responses from students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Patean. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively qualitative and quantitative. The results of the lower plant catalog research by material experts received a percentage of 83% in the very good category, 96% media experts in the very good category, 96% peer reviewers in the very good category, 99% biology teachers in the very good category, and 89% students in the very practical category. Thus it can be concluded that the lower plant catalog that has been developed is suitable for use a source of SMA/MA biology learning.
