%X This abstract discusses the implementation of the Independent Learning  Curriculum (KMB) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Madrasah Aliyah  Negeri (MAN) Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan. The background of this  research emphasizes the importance of adjusting PAI subjects in facing the  challenges of the times and globalization. The interconnection integration approach  is used to combine aspects of religion, science, and daily life. This is expected to  produce students who are not only excellent in academics, but also have spiritual  and moral maturity, in accordance with national educational goals.  The research method used is a qualitative approach with a focus on  exploring natural situations in the field. Researchers play the role of the main  instrument in data collection, with triangulation as a method of data reinforcement.  The analysis is carried out inductively, focusing on interpreting the meaning of the  data collected. This study provides an overview of the implementation of the  relevant and contextual PAI curriculum, as well as innovative learning methods that  can be applied in madrasah.  The results of the study show that the implementation of the Independent  Learning Curriculum in MAN Banjarbaru City, through the Project Based Learning  (PJBL) method, encourages students to think critically, creatively, and  collaboratively, as well as apply religious values in daily life. Although its  application has not been evenly distributed in all subjects, this curriculum  contributes to the formation of student competencies in accordance with the  Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin Student Profile (P5-PPRA). This  implementation not only improves academic competence, but also instills character  values such as independence, mutual cooperation, and creativity, which are  essential in holistic religious education.
