"The background of this study is based on the problem of teaching Islamic\r\nReligious Education which has abstract and practical material so that the use of media\r\nin Islamic Religious Education learning is very much needed. The use of learning\r\nmedia can bridge these problems and at the same time increase students' motivation to\r\nlearn Islamic Religious Education. Several previous studies have revealed that poster\r\nmedia is effective for teaching Islamic Religious Education. But in the era of\r\ninformation technology advancement, digital media such as Youtube also offers\r\nsolutions to this problem of teaching Islamic Religious Education and has the potential\r\nto increase students' motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education. Therefore, this\r\nstudy aims to analyze the effectiveness of poster media and Youtube in increasing\r\nstudents' motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education in SMP N 1 Terisi.\r\nThis research is a quantitative research. The type of research used is Quasi\r\nExperimental Design with the Pre Test Post Test Nonequivalent Control Group Design\r\nmodel. The subjects of this study were class VIII C as the control class and class VIII\r\nJ as the experimental class. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis,\r\nnormality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test consisting of Independent T-test\r\nand N-Gain test.\r\nThe results of the study showed that first, the results of the descriptive analysis\r\nof the pre-test and post-test questionnaire scores of the learning motivation of the\r\ncontrol class using poster media had a relatively small difference, which was 9.758\r\nwith a pre-test questionnaire score of 65.333 and a post-test questionnaire score of\r\n75.091. Second, the results of the descriptive analysis of the pre-test and post-test\r\nquestionnaire scores of the learning motivation of the experimental class using Youtube\r\nmedia had a greater difference, which was 39.819 with a pre-test questionnaire score\r\nof 68.242 and a post-test questionnaire score of 108.061. Third, there was a difference\r\nin learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education subjects between the control\r\nclass using poster media and the experimental class using Youtube media. This is\r\nevidenced by the results of the Independent T test which has a significance value of\r\n<0.05, which is <,001 so that H1 is accepted. The use of Youtube media in learning can\r\nincrease students' learning motivation by a greater percentage than the use of poster\r\nmedia. This is proven by the results of the N-Gain test in the control class, only 14%\r\nwere in the \"Ineffective\" category, while in the experimental class, 77% were in the\r\n\"Effective\" category."^^ .
