This period typically begins around the ages of 11 to 18 years. During this time, individuals experience rapid changes. Initial observations at SMP Negeri 2 Slogohimo indicate that some students have low self-confidence, which can affect their academic and social performance. This is evident during the P5 activities, where some students were hesitant and pushed each other when it came time to present their project results. This research aims to identify and explain the forms and factors of self-confidence as well as the types and aspects of social support among students at SMP Negeri 2 Slogohimo, Wonogiri Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion drawing. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Participants in this study consist of 6 informants, including 4 students and 2 teachers or homeroom teachers. The results of this study indicate that social support plays a crucial role in shaping students' self-confidence. First, the researcher found the existence of external self-confidence, which is the creation of communication between students and their environment by having teachers create communicative outdoor learning methods and raising awareness of self-appearance. Meanwhile, internal self-confidence is characterized by self-awareness, such as being able to develop social skills, having principles, trying new things, and being able to solve problems. Second, the factors influencing students' self-confidence include parental factors and physical appearance. Third, there are types of social support that come from teachers, peers, and parents or family. Fourth, the aspects of social support consist of emotional support, informational support, and appreciation, such as providing motivation, guidance, advice, as well as feedback, and rewards. The findings of this study show that social support is more commonly obtained from teachers and peers than from parents. This is because some students have parents who work outside the city, resulting in limited interactions and more frequent interactions occurring in the school environment %K Kepercayaan Diri, Dukungan Sosial, Siswa SMP %D 2024 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib67324
