Based on the formulation of the problem in this research, I elaborate three main forms of questions; First, how is the existence of the myth of Princess Karang Melenu among the indigenous people of Kutai Lama? Second, how are the dynamics of the power relations in determining the symbol of the guardian of the Mahakam River, between Princess Karang Melenu and the Dragon? Third, can the revitalization of the myth of Princess Karang Melenu and the Dragon be part of the approach to mitigating the climate crisis in the era of the boiling Earth? The formulation of the problem is present to answer and achieve the objectives of the research, namely as a form of offering an approach to mitigating the climate crisis. Departing from the belief of the indigenous people of Kutai Lama in the myth of Princess Karang Melenu and the Dragon of the Mahakam River?which is still maintained and preserved as a form of cultural identity, local wisdom values that protect and respect the various living creatures that live in the Mahakam River. This research is a qualitative field research, I use the Shulamit Reinharz feminist ethnography method that sides with indigenous people and women. The analytical knife in this study uses spiritual Ecofeminism popularized by Starhawk?here I use three main points, namely immanence, connectedness, and compassion. The systematic form of data analysis presentation, I present with the big theme of spiritual ecofeminism in each chapter. From the research journey to the presentation of research results, I found that people's beliefs in myths are formed from collective awareness in the manifestation of various forms of ethical responses, fears, and hopes. Thus, this belief has been integrated and rooted in the daily lives of the Kutai Lama community. Awareness of decolonization efforts that side with the community is one of the foundations for caring for and rejecting the extinction of local culture. The voice of indigenous peoples is presented in every decision-making, as a form of collective responsibility morally, practically, and spiritually; in order to achieve climate crisis mitigation through a socio-cultural approach to the community that is camouflaged in everyday life in Kutai Lama?especially, through the cultural path of the myth of Putri Karang Melenu and Naga Sungai Mahakam as a cultural identity.
