If the relationship between justice and child protection is in line, then good child protection reflects justice and its implementation upholds children's rights. Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection is the legal basis that regulates child protection against children as victims of violence. The Sleman Resort Police as a first layer government institution as a legal apparatus has the duty to resolve cases of violence between children through diversion efforts. It is necessary to examine whether the Sleman Resort Police has provided justice and upheld the rights of children as victims of violence through diversion efforts during the investigation. For this reason, in this study, the main issues to be discussed are related to the implementation of legal protection for victims of criminal acts of violence between children at the Sleman Police and the obstacles faced by Sleman Police investigators during the diversion process in criminal acts of violence against children. The type of research used in this thesis is field research with descriptive-analytical research nature. The approach used in this research uses a juridical-empirical approach, by examining the applicable law and its implementation in society. The data collection methods are interviews, observations, and literature studies then analyzed using qualitative methods to obtain and compile data and the findings can be informed to others. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of diversion in the implementation of legal protection for victims of criminal acts between children at Sleman Police Station is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and fulfills the rights of children as victims in diversion efforts. However, the implementation of diversion in one of the cases discussed in this study did not reach an agreement or failed diversion so that the criminal case continued with the applicable legal process. During the implementation of the investigation, the investigators experienced obstacles which could interfere with the investigation process, such as limited time for diversion efforts, difficulty in extracting information from children, lack of understanding of cases of children in conflict with the law by both parties, lack of coordination, less responsive community, request for a large nominal amount of compensation, and poor facilities and infrastructure. %K Perlindungan Hukum, Tindak Kekerasan Anak, Pidana %D 2024 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib67470
