description: The music industry is a prospective and promising business because it provides large profits for business actors. One of the music industry businesses that can be done without being a music artist is a music concert. However, sometimes music concerts cannot go as planned, such as the case of the cancellation of the Serasanada music concert in Yogyakarta. The concert cancellation case shows the importance of consumer protection in the entertainment industry. Consumers have the right to obtain promised services and compensation if their rights are violated. Business actors, including concert promoters, are obliged to fulfill their responsibilities on what is promised, as well as provide fair compensation to consumers who are harmed in accordance with Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection.  The research method used by researchers in this research is normative and empirical legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches. This research is descriptive analytical. The data collection used is literature study and interviews, which are then processed and analyzed using qualitative methods.  From the results of this research, it can be concluded that: (1) The sale and purchase agreement made between the business actor and the consumer provides legal protection for consumers so that business actors are obliged to organize music concert performances as promised. If it cannot organize it, then the business actor is obliged to provide compensation in the form of compensation according to the ticket price sold by the business actor to consumers. (2) Legal efforts that can be made by consumers to business actors to carry out their obligations, namely through legal efforts outside the court (non-litigation) and legal efforts in court (litigation). Non-litigation efforts are made through BPSK by way of arbitration, mediation, consolation, and negotiation. While litigation efforts are carried out through a lawsuit to the District Court and cassation to the Supreme Court.
