"This research departs from the many trainings and guidance on family law\r\ncirculating on social media. Currently, many social media are used to spread Islamic\r\nteachings, especially in mosques, many people use social media as a place for\r\nda'wah and the dissemination of ideas (ideas or understandings) around family\r\naffairs. This is marked by the rise of family development programs carried out in\r\nmosques and supported by digital technology. This research discusses the premarriage\r\nschool program at the Nurul Ashri Mosque because it is an educational\r\nprogram with a focus on discussing family law issues, such as pre-marriage and\r\nfamily life. Automatically, pre-marriage schools contain an understanding of\r\nIslamic family law that displays conservative and progressive teaching materials\r\nabout gender relations in family law. The main problem in this study is where the\r\nconservative and progressive sides are shown in the teaching material, and how the\r\ndominance of the teaching material is in the context of understanding gender\r\nrelations.\r\nTo answer this main problem, this research uses a gender studies approach.\r\nThis type of research is qualitative research. Therefore, this study is literature\r\nresearch (library research) with primary data being Nurul Ashri's pre-marriage\r\nschool teaching materials, while secondary data are books, journals, and articles\r\nfrom various related online media. The nature of this research is descriptive\r\nanalytical, then the data is analyzed using the content analysis method.\r\nThis research found that Nurul Ashri's pre-marriage school teaching\r\nmaterials contain the concept of gender relations in Islamic family law which\r\nconsists of two paradigms, namely conservative and progressive. Teaching\r\nmaterials are more dominant on conservative concepts, while progressive concepts\r\nof teaching materials are only as reinforcements or complements. In relation to the\r\nconservative approach, the teaching material refers to normative doctrine.\r\nMeanwhile, the progressive approach pays more attention to what actually happens\r\nin society. The conservative gender relations teaching material can be seen from the\r\ncontent of the material that presents the authority of men as qowwām in the family\r\nwho have the authority to propose to women, are obliged to earn a living, are\r\nresponsible for the education of children and have a gentle attitude of husband\r\ntowards wife. In terms of progressive teaching materials, speakers pay more\r\nattention to the actual dimension in society very few are found. The progressive\r\nside of gender relations that stands out can be seen from choosing a prospective\r\npartner by looking at and considering the sociological, economic and cultural\r\ndimensions, and the change of the role of breadwinner when the husband is in a\r\ncondition that interferes with his ability to work."^^ .
