Currently, many social media are used to spread Islamic teachings, especially in mosques, many people use social media as a place for da'wah and the dissemination of ideas (ideas or understandings) around family affairs. This is marked by the rise of family development programs carried out in mosques and supported by digital technology. This research discusses the premarriage school program at the Nurul Ashri Mosque because it is an educational program with a focus on discussing family law issues, such as pre-marriage and family life. Automatically, pre-marriage schools contain an understanding of Islamic family law that displays conservative and progressive teaching materials about gender relations in family law. The main problem in this study is where the conservative and progressive sides are shown in the teaching material, and how the dominance of the teaching material is in the context of understanding gender relations. To answer this main problem, this research uses a gender studies approach. This type of research is qualitative research. Therefore, this study is literature research (library research) with primary data being Nurul Ashri's pre-marriage school teaching materials, while secondary data are books, journals, and articles from various related online media. The nature of this research is descriptive analytical, then the data is analyzed using the content analysis method. This research found that Nurul Ashri's pre-marriage school teaching materials contain the concept of gender relations in Islamic family law which consists of two paradigms, namely conservative and progressive. Teaching materials are more dominant on conservative concepts, while progressive concepts of teaching materials are only as reinforcements or complements. In relation to the conservative approach, the teaching material refers to normative doctrine. Meanwhile, the progressive approach pays more attention to what actually happens in society. The conservative gender relations teaching material can be seen from the content of the material that presents the authority of men as qoww?m in the family who have the authority to propose to women, are obliged to earn a living, are responsible for the education of children and have a gentle attitude of husband towards wife. In terms of progressive teaching materials, speakers pay more attention to the actual dimension in society very few are found. The progressive side of gender relations that stands out can be seen from choosing a prospective partner by looking at and considering the sociological, economic and cultural dimensions, and the change of the role of breadwinner when the husband is in a condition that interferes with his ability to work.
