Abdul Mujib, M.Ag. abstract: This thesis examines the cooperation practices between Tiktok and Tokopedia according to commercial law. This research arose from the author's concern regarding the busy news about Tiktok Shop on the internet in recent years. In line with the increase in Tiktok's popularity, Tiktok launched a new feature, namely Tiktok shop, where in this feature, users can carry out online buying and selling transactions directly on the Tiktok video. via the yellow basket included in the video. TikTok faces a series of challenges and generates controversy, especially regarding user data privacy. Since its inception, TikTok has been under scrutiny for its alleged unauthorized collection of user data and sharing with third parties, most notably the Chinese government. Having had its use revoked or stopped by the Ministry of Trade, Tiktok Shop reappeared after collaborating and merging with Tokopedia which gave rise to pros and cons. Starting from this, the researcher wanted to look more deeply at the problem when viewed from a commercial law perspective. The type of research used in this research is qualitative. The approach used in this research is an empirical juridical approach, in this case the research will be carried out by combining elements of juridical law and after that it is strengthened by adding data or empirical elements. To answer the research questions the author uses legal compliance theory. This research uses qualitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis is interactive. This means that there is repetition and connection between data collection and data analysis. This research reveals that the return of the TikTok Shop is supported by a strategic partnership between PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo) and TikTok, with an investment of US$ 1.5 billion. Based on this latest agreement, TikTok will control more than 75% of Tokopedia's shares and integrate the TikTok Shop business with the Tokopedia marketplace. After the merger of TikTok Shop with Tokopedia, passing a 3-4 month feasibility trial phase, the Ministry of Trade stated that Tiktok Shop was fit to operate in Indonesia because it had an Electronic System Operator Registration Certificate (TDPSE) issued by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemenkominfo).
