Srah-srahan, or seserahan, is a gift that is considered obligatory by the local community, often exceeding the dowry prescribed in Islam. This tradition is seen as a symbol of the groom-to-be's commitment and an important part of household preparations. However, the practice of srah-srahan also creates an economic burden for the groom-to-be and creates social pressure for those who cannot meet the expected standard of value. This research raises three problem formulations: First, what is the perception of the people of Limbangan Village towards the determination of the srah-srahan value; second, what is the impact of the application of the srah-srahan value on the people of Limbangan Village; and third, what is the maslahah review of the srah-srahan value in Limbangan Village. This research uses a legal sociology approach to analyze the community's perception of srah-srahan and its impact. The results show that the people of Limbangan Village see srah-srahan as a form of cooperation between husband and wife in preparing a new household. It is also considered a sign of the husband's responsibility and commitment to financially support his wife and family. The value of srah-srahan shows the husband's readiness to lead the family and reflects a social caste based on the economic status of the woman's family. Furthermore, a high value srah-srahan can be economically stressful, especially for those who are self-employed. This often forces couples to delay marriage until they are more financially stable. Socially, there is pressure to fulfill the value of the srah-srahan, which can lead to negative stigmatization of poor families, affecting their self-esteem and narrowing their options in marriage. From a maslahah review, srah-srahan fulfills the three conditions of maslahah, namely qat'i, kulli, and syar'i. When viewed on the qat'i benefit, the practice of srah-srahan provides tangible benefits that can be measured such as ensuring that new couples have adequate household equipment, emphasizing the husband's responsibility in meeting the financial needs of the family, a form of support for the husband in the wife's family finances and towards the independence of the couple. Then, when viewed from the perspective of the kulli benefit, the practice of srah-srahan strengthens cooperation and relationships between families, and instills the value of commitment and responsibility in society. These benefits are felt by many people in the Limbangan Village community, so this practice fulfills the requirements of the kulli benefit which includes the interests of the wider community. And on the review of shar'i benefits, the value of srah-srahan is in line with Islamic principles of mutual support, help and maintaining social harmony. So it can be concluded overall that the practice of srah-srahan fulfills all three conditions of maslahah, both qat}'i, kulli, and shar'i maslahah. and is at the level of maslahah hajiyah, which is important to facilitate family life.
