%T PENAFSIRAN UKHUWWAH MENURUT TAFSIR FI ZILAL AL-QUR’AN DAN TAFSIR AL-MISBAH (STUDI KOMPARASI)
%X The problem in Indonesia that is circulating is the lack of understanding
about ukhuwwah. This thesis examines the meaning of ukhuwwah as extracted from
the Book of Al-Misbah and the Kitab Tafsir Fi Ẓilal Al-Qur'an. This thesis raises the thoughts of Sayyid Qutb, who is known as a fundamentalist, and Quraish
Shihab, who is known for his moderate thinking, and then compares them.
The formulation of the problem in this research includes how ukhuwwah is
interpreted by Sayyid Qutb in Tafsir Fi Ẓilal Al Qur'an and Quraish Syihab in Tafsir Al-Misbah and how the interpretations of ukhuwwah are similar and different from the two tafsir.
This type of research is qualitative research. Meanwhile, the object of
research is the interpretation of the meaning of ukhuwwah in Tafs̄ ir Fi Ẓilal Al-
Qur'an and the Book of Tafsir Al-Misbah. This research uses three main data sources: Al-Qur'an Al-Karim, Tafs̄ ir Fi Ẓilal Al-Qur'an, and the Book of Tafsir Al-
Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. This research also uses all other supporting
secondary data sources. Data was collected using a qualitative analysis approach. The data analysis technique in this research uses the descriptive-analysis method.
The conclusion of this study shows that ukhuwwah according to Sayyid
Qutb and Quraish Shihab has similar meanings. Both of them do not limit their ukhuwwah to blood relations alone. However, they consider ukhuwwah to have a broader meaning. So this ukhuwwah can exist because of the same faith (ukhuwwah imaniyyah), the same religion of Islam (ukhuwwah islamiyyah), the same homeland
(ukhuwwah waṭaniyyah), the same kind (ukhuwwah insaniyyah/basyariyyah). The
difference is that Quraish Shihab only hints at the meaning of ukhuwwah other than blood relationship. Meanwhile, Sayyid Qutb explained it openly. Both of them developed the meaning of ukhuwwah through Surah Al-Hujurat10.
