"Mental health is very important for human life, according to Dinesh Bhugra,\r\nmental health is a state of equipoise where the individual is at peace with themself, is able\r\nto function effectively socially and is able to look after their own basic needs as well as\r\nhigher function needs. Positive functionality means managing change, relationships and\r\nemotions in a constructive manner. This research aims to describe the mental health within\r\nthe tarekat congregation, what influences the mental health of the tarekat congregation\r\nand mental health in the eyes of the congregation. Participants in this research were three\r\ncongregations who had been attending the congregation for more than 1 year. The research\r\nuses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection in this research used interview and\r\nobservation techniques. Based on the research that has been conducted, researchers\r\nconcluded that the informants have good mental health and different dynamics but have\r\nthe same calmness in living life. Factors that influenced the mental health of the three\r\nparticipants included dhikr assemblies held in groups and individually, taklim assemblies\r\nand the presence of a murshid. Another finding in this research is that the murshid in the\r\ntarekat plays the role of counselor who is able to calm his congregation emotionally and\r\ncognitively so that a zuhud lifestyle emerges which makes them calmer in living their lives"^^ .
