The method used in this study is quantitative correlation. The subjects who participated in this study totaled 110 participants. Data collection techniques used the two modified scales based on aspects developed by Russel (1996) and Armsden and Greenberg (1987) which were then analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between peer attachment and loneliness in first-year migrants who come from outside Java in Yogyakarta. The results of this study also show that peer attachment provides an effective contribution to reducing loneliness by 36,9%. This means that there are 63,1% other factors that affect loneliness in first-year overseas students from outside Java in Yogyakarta outside the peer attachment factor.
