abstract: In this era of technological advancement, many young people, including Generation Z. This Generation are seeking Islamic content on social media platforms, including TikTok. Generation Z is particularly vulnerable to exposure to negative content such as hoaxes, hate speech, and radicalism. Recognizing this phenomenon, Habib Ja’far engages in virtual preaching through his TikTok account @huseinjafar, presenting interesting Islamic content to counteract these negative influences by reinforcing religious moderation. The objective of this research is to analyze how virtual preaching on the TikTok account @huseinjafar strengthens religious moderation among Generation Z. This study employs a qualitative approach with a netnographic method focusing on the TikTok account @huseinjafar as the research subject. Data collection involves documentation and observation techniques. The collected data is analyzed using the Cyber Media Analysis (CMA) method. The results indicate that the virtual preaching on the TikTok account @huseinjafar effectively captures the attention of Generation Z and provides understanding to followers (mad’u) regarding the values of religious moderation. The content of the preaching aligns with current trends among Generation Z, utilizing the Quran and Hadith as primary sources. The use of TikTok features facilitates easier comprehension of the preaching content by the followers(mad’u). Criticisms include the lack of interaction in the comment section, infrequent use of hashtags and external voices features, and a lack of additional sources related to the preached content from other platforms.
