One form of communication is self-disclosure to parents, who are the target person with the closest relationship in each individual. The family environment is one of the important factors in how children's self-disclosure behavior to parents should be, so the selection of the right parenting must be considered, one of which is prophetic parenting. This study aims to determine the relationship between prophetic parenting and child-parent self-disclosure in generation z. This research uses quantitative correlation, with 100 generation z respondents in the Yogyakarta area. Data collection was done by convenience sampling, with self-disclosure scale and prophetic parenting scale. Data analysis used Pearson product moment correlation technique, with the results of the correlation value (rxy) of 0.833 and p=0.000. So the results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship on prophetic parenting and child-parent self-disclosure in generation z. The percentage of prophetic contribution on self-disclosure is 69.3%, while the remaining 30.7% is influenced by other variables. So this study can explain that the importance of the role given by parents in the growth and development of children, so that children are able to have good communication skills, which are able to convey effectively about the feelings and opinions they experience. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. Raden Rachmy Diana, S.Psi., M.A., Psi
