Ag}, keywords = {Chat GPT, Panduan Hukum Islam, Tokoh Majelis Ulama Indonesia dan Tokoh Muhammadiyah}, url = {https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/68197/}, abstract = {Some people take advantage of GPT Chat to find answers to a law in practicing an act of worship or religious problems that are being sought, such as looking for Qur'anic verses or religious terms. But lately it has been found that Chat GPT provides inaccurate answers, so it is dangerous if the answer is about religious issues. Based on this background, the authors propose a problem formulation: (1) What are the views of Indonesian Ulema Council and Muhammadiyah leaders in the Yogyakarta region on the use of Chat GPT as a guide in making Islamic legal decisions? (2) What legal istinb{\=a}{\d t} methods are used by Indonesian Ulema Council and Muhammadiyah leaders in the Yogyakarta region regarding the use of Chat GPT as a guide to making Islamic legal decisions? This type of research is field research. While the data analysis method used is descriptive-analysis-comparative with the usul fiqh approach. The usul fiqh approach used is istislahi legal istinb{\=a}{\d t} theory. In the data collection method, the authors used the results of interviews from 2 MUI leaders and 2 Muhammadiyah leaders in the Yogyakarta area as well as sources related to this research. The results show that, in general, there are differences between the leaders of the Indonesian Ulema Council and Muhammadiyah leaders in the Yogyakarta region regarding the use of Chat GPT as a guide in making Islamic legal decisions. Based on the opinions and legal basis as well as the arguments put forward by MUI and Muhammadiyah leaders in the Yogyakarta region, it can be concluded that the Indonesian Ulema Council leaders use the ma{\d s}lahah mursalah theory, because they see the general benefit provided by Chat GPT. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah leaders seem to use the legal theory of saddu{\.z} {\.z}ar{\=i}'ah so that they prohibit the use of Chat GPT to close the way for the possible harm it will cause.} }
