abstract: This study analyzes the comparison of KDRT (domestic violence) in Pakistan and Indonesia. The study focuses on explaining and understanding internal and external impacts of victims of domestic violence in their parental function. The result of the study will be used as guidance for intervening women empowerment and stimulating the culture of nonviolence movements. Although Pakistan has its uniqueness compare to other countries in Asia, it has a similarity with Indonesia in the sense of its Muslim dominated population. In Pakistan, the problem of domestic violence is seen as a private. It means that the victims of domestic violence tend to be ignored and have no necessary helps. This situation can be a starting point to examine the role of religious understanding in portraying those who committed domestic violence.
