However, more specifically, in Panggungharjo Village, Sewon, Bantul, which is one of the villages that empowers people with disabilities, there is another side of disability family life that needs to be studied, namely the relationship between married couples who are both seen as disabled with the same type of disability, namely blindness. This paper examines the pattern of the division of domestic work roles of blind couples by analyzing two domains. First, the relationship between blind married couples is seen based on domestic work roles which include decision making, fulfillment of rights and obligations for clothing, food, and shelter. Second, the relationship that dominates in the family of blind couples. This research is a type of field research using a family sociology approach, this research is descriptive in nature aimed at describing the results of research through narrative writing. The data sources used in this research are primary data in the form of 4 (four) pairs of husband and wife who are both considered blind disabilities and secondary data in the form of articles, books, journals, papers, and sources related to the research title. Data collection methods or techniques in this research are through interviews and documentation. This research is a qualitative research using the inductive method. In analyzing the research data, Letha Dawson Scanzoni and John Scanzoni's relationship pattern theory is used. The results of this study found that the pattern of relations in the division of labor in the family of a married couple with blind disabilities is quite diverse. (1) The relationship between husband and wife applied to blind couples in Panggungharjo Village can be mapped into two forms of relationship patterns, namely senior junior partner found in family 2 and family 3, and equal partner relationship patterns found in family 1 and family 4. (2) The most dominant relationship in the four visually impaired families in Panggungharjo Village is a tie, where two families, namely family 2 and family 3, establish a household relationship with a senior junior partner relationship pattern due to economic factors and household conditions that are not yet sufficient so that they demand to always work hard. While family 1 and family 4 establish a household relationship based on the equal partner relationship pattern, the factor behind the occurrence of this relationship pattern is because financially they always feel sufficient %Z Pembimbing: Dr. Ahmad Bunyan Wahib, M.Ag., M.A
