%X Sexual violence often occurs in everyday life, whether in the family, community, school/campus, and workplace. Sexual violence can happen to anyone and at any time. Sexual violence that occurs in the world of education, especially in higher education, has been in the spotlight lately and has become a topic of conversation in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. the minister of education passed Permendikbud Number 30 of 2021 this regulation contains the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the Higher Education Environment.  This research uses a type of field research that is judicial-empirical in nature. This subject covers the special area of Yogyakarta. This research uses the statute approach and conceptual approach methods. Examine the applicable legal provisions and what happens in the reality of society. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation with the theory of legal effectiveness and maslahah mursalah.  The results showed that the implementation of Permendikbud Number 30 of 2021 in higher education helps prevent and protect the academic community. In addition, in terms of maslahah mursalah, this research is a benefit for the academic community.
