abstract: The practice of money politics is a finding of fraud that dominates in almost every general election, both village and state level elections, money politics is considered a common thing to do in society. Village communities that are characterized by simplicity both in terms of knowledge and socio-political conditions are often targeted by money politics. Bawaslu Magelang initiated the Anti-Money Politics Village Movement as a preventive effort in preventing money politics through political education in the community to foster public awareness of democracy and provide knowledge about elections and their violations, especially money politics. The aim of this research is to find out the role of Anti-Money Politics villages in general election contestation and maslahah mursalah review of the role of Anti-Money Politics villages.
The research conducted is descriptive-analytical (field research) using an empirical approach. The research location is in Pandeyan Village, Deyangan, Mertoyudan, Magelang Regency, with data collection methods carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Primary data sources used are the results of interviews with the Head of Bawaslu Magelang Regency, Head of the APU Village Association of Magelang Regency, Community Leaders and Pandeyan villagers.
The results of this study found that the practice of money politics in Pandeyan occurs due to teh social and political conditions of the community. The success of the Anti-Money Politic village program in preventing money politics can be assessed through the General Election (Pemilu), in the 2024 Election in Pandeyan the community rejected the practice of money politics which can be said to be risywah. So it can be concluded that Anti-Money Politic Village is effective in preventing the practice of money politics. According to the maslahah mursalah review, the role of the APU village in the 2024 election contestation is to bring benefits (maslahat) to the community by preventing the occurrence of mafsadat caused by money politics (risywah).
