        abstract = {These article description life of Madura{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^a}??s society phenomenon, and its relation with carok. Carok means duel to defends oneself honor. Carok and clurit (kind of sikle, often used as weapon) is embedded. They can{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^a}??t be desperated. This phenomenon since Dutch colonialization. Carok is knight symbol in fighting to keep the honor. Madura{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^a}??s society is more obidience to informal figure leader called: kyai {\~A}?{\^a}??{\r A}?reference for venerated scholar, teacher of Islam or {\~A}?{\^a}??{\r A}?ulama{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^A}?as Islamic scholar. In fact Carok phenomenon has been seen until now. It indicates that carok is not related with product of somebody {\~A}?{\^a}??{\"E}{\oe}s authority and honor but it{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^a}??s related with cultural aspect. This fact is one of black side of Madura {\~A}?{\^a}??{\"E}{\oe}s culture. It{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^a}??s so far from wiseword like this: rampa maong beringin kroong.{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^A}? It means calm situation fulfil peacefull like under the banyan tree. This wise word is one of way of life Madura{\~A}?{\^a}??{\^a}??s society.}
