abstract: This research was conducted with the aim of finding out LDM (Basic Media Training) as an effort carried out by the Publication Media Division at the Putri Al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School, Complex Q Krapyak, Yogyakarta. The trainings held every week in the previous year were one of the activities that were considered less effective in developing the digital skills of current students.
This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach through interviews with nine informants. This research was prepared using a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach with the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used by the researcher in this study is the theory of change expressed by Kotter.
The results of this study show that the Basic Media Training (LDM) conducted by DMP in 2024 has changed from the year. In addition to being more effective and efficient, LDM is able to improve the digital skills of students while still paying attention to the steps in the process. The main targets of this activity are new 2023 students and students who are interested in the media. Despite facing time constraints, speaker selection, and device limitations, the solution taken succeeded in overcoming the problem. LDM also shows the potential to produce a competent generation in the field of media and digital, as well as continue DMP programs in the future.
