Volunteers have a very crucial role in supporting the academic success of students with disabilities through the assistance they provide. However, the existence of dual roles as students and volunteers raises various challenges or obstacles that require good self-adjustment skills and the application of appropriate coping strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with interview method to collect data from volunteers. The results showed that in providing lecture assistance, volunteers encountered various challenges or obstacles, namely personal emotions, environmental conditions that did not match expectations, communication barriers and being overwhelmed. Nevertheless, volunteers are able to adjust by fulfilling the aspects of emotional, intellectual, social and responsible maturity. And can apply problem-focused coping strategies and emotions to respond to challenging situations in achieving aspects of maturity. In addition, motive factors, environmental conditions, positive self-concept and religious values have a positive effect in helping volunteers adjust while negative self-concept and unhealthy physical conditions have a negative effect on volunteers adjusting. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. Asep Jahidin, S.
