The shift from traditional zakat payment strategies to modern systems through Zakat Management Institutions (LAZ) has introduced various challenges, particularly the limited access of muzakki (zakat payers) to these institutions. This research aims to explore and analyze the influence of social environment, service quality, transparency, reputation, and zakat literacy on the interest of muzakki in paying zakat to LAZ in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. A quantitative associative approach was employed using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to the Muslim community in Pontianak City, with a total of 240 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) with the aid of SmartPLS version 4.0 software. The findings reveal that transparency and zakat literacy significantly affect muzakki's interest in paying zakat to LAZ in Pontianak City, while social environment, service quality, and reputation do not. These results emphasize the need for LAZ in Pontianak to focus more on transparency in zakat management and improving zakat literacy among the Muslim community. Failure to address these factors has further eroded the trust of Muslims in paying their zakat to these institutions.} }
