The researcher\r\nexamines the portrayal of Muslims in the film Robin Hood: Prince of\r\nThieves (1991) through the character Azeem and their overall characterization. This\r\nfilm tells the story of a Muslim character from the Moors who helps Robin Hood\r\nfight until the end of his victory. This research aims to assess the portrayal of the\r\nMuslim Moors in the film. In analyzing this film, researchers used Ferdinand de\r\nSaussure's semiotic theory with a signify and signifier approach and film theory as\r\na supporting theory. This research is qualitative with descriptive data analysis\r\ntechniques. The data obtained is in the form of scripts, dialogue, and film scenes\r\nrelated to Muslims. The researcher categorizes the depiction of Islam through the\r\ncharacter Azeem and other Muslim characters into positive or negative\r\nrepresentations. The result of this research is positive; the positive thing about\r\nAzeem's character is that he is a tolerant person. This film represents Azeem as a\r\nwise, loyal, and religious person.
