%X This research was conducted because research on the development of realia  collections has not been found by the author. Generally, research on realia  collections only discusses the effectiveness of realia collections when used in  teaching and learning activities. In this study, it is mentioned that realia media  can be used as a teaching aid because by using the help of real learning media,  the brain has a fast response and is able to remember 90% of the material  provided. This study aims to analyze the development of the realia collection in  the Library of Stiper Agricultural Institute Yogyakarta. In this study using the  theory of Evans which reveals six components of collection development. The type  of research used by researchers is descriptive research with a qualitative  approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and  documentation. Determination of informants in this study using purposive  sampling technique. The informants in this study were 5 (five) people. Data  validation was carried out using two methods, namely triangulation and  membercheck. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data,  and drawing conclusions. From the results of the research, it is concluded that in  developing the realia collection, the Stiper Yogyakarta Agricultural Institute  Library has carried out the six components mentioned by Evans. Although the six  components have been running, there are still some that are not in accordance  with the theory and some that are less than optimal.
