"This research was conducted because research on the development of realia\r\ncollections has not been found by the author. Generally, research on realia\r\ncollections only discusses the effectiveness of realia collections when used in\r\nteaching and learning activities. In this study, it is mentioned that realia media\r\ncan be used as a teaching aid because by using the help of real learning media,\r\nthe brain has a fast response and is able to remember 90% of the material\r\nprovided. This study aims to analyze the development of the realia collection in\r\nthe Library of Stiper Agricultural Institute Yogyakarta. In this study using the\r\ntheory of Evans which reveals six components of collection development. The type\r\nof research used by researchers is descriptive research with a qualitative\r\napproach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and\r\ndocumentation. Determination of informants in this study using purposive\r\nsampling technique. The informants in this study were 5 (five) people. Data\r\nvalidation was carried out using two methods, namely triangulation and\r\nmembercheck. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data,\r\nand drawing conclusions. From the results of the research, it is concluded that in\r\ndeveloping the realia collection, the Stiper Yogyakarta Agricultural Institute\r\nLibrary has carried out the six components mentioned by Evans. Although the six\r\ncomponents have been running, there are still some that are not in accordance\r\nwith the theory and some that are less than optimal."^^ . "2023-10-13" . . . .
