%X This study aims to analyze the transliteration of Korean language library  materials, find out how the process of cataloging Korean language library  materials, find out how appropriate the transliteration is and find out what are the  obstacles in making descriptive catalogs of Korean language library materials at  the FIB UGM Library. This research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research  method. The subjects in this study were librarians at the FIB UGM Library and the  object of this study was the transliteration process and analysis in making a  descriptive catalog of Korean language books by the FIB UGM Library. Methods  of data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis  technique uses data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusions. Test  the validity of the data using the Credibility test using triangulation techniques,  discussions with friends who are more expert, and member checks. The next data  validity test is the objectivity test with the calculation of benchmarks which are then  used to determine the predicate. The results of this study indicate that the  transliteration system used is the Revised Romanization of Korean (RRK) system.  The cataloging process is the same as the AACR rules, only there is an additional  transliteration process at the beginning, Correspondence of transliteration carried  out by the FIB UGM Library on 15 books published in 1990, namely 14 books were  found and 1 book could not be found, and the obstacle faced is the lack of human  resources who master the Korean language but there are apprentice students to  help transliterate Korean books. main obstacles faced by the library. It can be  overcome by holding literacy/typing training for library staff, using web converters,  and writing down the provisions in making descriptive catalogs in writing.
