This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity techniques use extended observation, triangulation, and member checking. Data analysis in this research uses the Miles and Huberman model with three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research show that students with special needs at SMP Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta need academic and non-academic information. Meanwhile, the role of the Special Assistant Teacher in meeting the information needs of students with special needs at SMP Budi Mulia Dua Yogyakarta is as a facilitator, mediator, motivator, and companion. The novelty in this research is that the role of meeting the information needs of students with special needs is carried out by Special Assistant Teachers, not libraries and librarians. This research suggests that, if the school is inclusion-based, then the library must also be inclusion-based, to equalize the rights to obtain and access information between normal students in general and students with special needs. Therefore, it is hoped that this library will provide special collections or relevant information for students with special needs so that students with special needs can fulfill their information needs through the school library} }
