Arabizi is also known by various terms, including Latinised Arabic, Romanised Arabic, Arabish, ASCIlization, and Arabtini. This research explores the role of Arabizi in Arabic language education on the social media platform Instagram. The concepts and theories of language transfer serve as analytical tools in this research. Language transfer is the process by which the first language (L1) or a previously learned language or a native language influences the learning of a second language (L2). This transfer can be positive tranfer that facilitating learning, or negative ones that leading to errors or interference. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach. Data were collected from the Instagram accounts of online Arabic language educators catering to non-native speakers. The analysis of the data is guided by language transfer theory in sociolinguistics. The findings of this research identify several transfer features in Arabizi, such as script switching (transliteration and transcription), borrowing, code switching, code mixing, and loan words. These features illustrate how Arabizi adopts and adapts elements from other languages, especially English, in a digital context. The analysis also reveals how Arabizi serves specific functions and purposes in its use within online Arabic language instructional content. It elucidates how Instagram facilitates educators in creating content that conveys messages using Arabizi. Finally, this research seeks to provide a deeper understanding of the Arabizi phenomenon for foreign language learners of Arabic and its implications for teaching methods, as well as the cultural identity of Arabs and the sustainability of Modern Standard Arabic.} }
