abstract: The research entitled "Representation of Family Conflict Resolution from an Islamic Perspective in the Film Gara-Gara Warisan" contains an introduction to the concept of education offered by a film work in providing meaning in everyday life as a solution that can be tried in resolving a life conflict combined with certain values that have developed in the surrounding community. In this case, the introduction is carried out with a case regarding the unrest that occurs in family conflicts by taking the issue of inheritance problems so that they can be resolved. By using a combination of community values that have been implemented from community values that refer to the teachings of one religion, namely Islam, it is hoped that with this work, film lovers can raise awareness for film viewers, especially those who also uphold the teachings of Islam to be able to interpret the education offered by this film work.
In writing this research, the method used is a qualitative methodology combined with the use of Roland Barthes' semiotics as a reference in conducting data analysis that focuses on meaning through the Signs contained in the film in the form of Connotation or Denotation so that new results emerge, namely New myths that develop in society.
The use of Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis in qualitative research is considered to be the right combination where this analysis conducts in-depth identification of the meaning implemented into the signs that appear during the screening of the film which this time uses the film "Gara-Gara Warisan" which contains an important lesson about solving problems by referring to Islam in solving problems with mediation and negotiation to achieve common goals without any misunderstandings in the future. So that the results of the analysis carried out in this study are that there are several indicators that must be considered in resolving conflicts that occur in families with an Islamic perspective, namely the existence of values of agreement, justice, transparency, and also open-mindedness that appear during the screening of the film "Gara-Gara Warisan" which is formed from both connotative and denotative meanings in the scenes analyzed in the pieces of this film.
