%X Income inequality is an economic problem that often occurs in an area. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that affect income inequality that occurs in five districts/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2014-2023 using a panel data analysis method, this study finds that all variables simultaneously have a significant effect on income inequality in five districts/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2014-2023. The results showed that wages had an effect, while poverty and unemployment rates had no effect on income inequality. This research provides important insights for the best policymakers.
