abstract: This research aims to investigate the effect of managerial ability and the presence of women on the board of directors on the level of investment efficiency. This study uses a population of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2023. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. Based on this sampling technique, 97 companies were obtained, so the number of observations was 388. This study uses panel data regression analysis with the help of STATA 14 software. The results of the study show that managerial ability has an effect on investment efficiency. While female CEOs have an effect on investment efficiency, but do not affect the position of overinvestment in the company.
