%X Effective communication in families, especially families with single mothers, plays an important role in shaping adolescent self-conceptions. In this study, the focus is on single-mother family communication patterns in shaping adolescent self-conceptions. The study aims to analyze the communication patterns of single-mother families in shaping adolescent self-conceptions in Muja Muju Kelurahan, Yogyakarta City. Five single mothers and their remaining children were selected as the subject of the study. Data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that open, warm, and participatory communication patterns have a positive influence on the formation of healthy self-conceptions in adolescents. However, authoritarian or too permissive communication patterns tend to produce less stable self-conceptions. This research provides useful insights for single mothers in understanding the influence of family interactions on adolescent self-conceptions. However, this research has its limitations because its samples are small and not representative of all cultural and social variations. Therefore, further research with larger and more varied samples needs to be done to determine the relevance of the findings in different social and cultural contexts. Furthermore, continued research is also needed to find out how these communication patterns change over time and their long-term impact on adolescent self-conceptions. For single mothers, it is recommended to use open and supportive communication. Giving adolescents the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings freely will make them feel appreciated and have a positive self-concept. Single mothers also need to set clear boundaries while providing emotional support for adolescents to feel safe and confident
