"This study was motivated by the researcher's interest in the confidence of\r\nearly childhood group B at RA Bina Umat, which shows that children seem more\r\nconfident than when they first entered school. They finally feel comfortable in the\r\nschool environment so they can complete their tasks well. Self-confidence in\r\nchildren aged 4 to 5 years is ideally seen when they can follow learning activities\r\nwithout depending on parents, are able to express opinions or desires, and respond\r\nto questions from the teacher. And at the age of 5-6 years, children are expected to\r\nbe able to interact well, such as performing in front of friends, teachers, and\r\nothers, participating in competitions, and taking initiative in daily activities, such\r\nas tidying up their own toys and starting interactions with others.\r\nThis study aims to determine the level of self-confidence of early\r\nchildhood group B at RA Bina Umat. This type of research is a quantitative\r\ndescriptive analysis with data collection techniques using a Likert scale\r\nquestionnaire. The data analysis technique used is percentage. This study involved\r\n51 children (parents) from group B at RA Bina Umat. And data were collected\r\nthrough a questionnaire designed to measure children's self-confidence.\r\nThe results showed that early childhood self-confidence was at a high\r\nlevel, with a percentage of 90.2% (46 children) included in the high category, and\r\n9.8% (5 children) in the medium category. Some characteristics that show\r\nchildren's self-confidence include: believing in their own abilities, easily adapting\r\nto new environments, being sociable, daring to be themselves, daring to appear in\r\nfront of many people, speaking clearly and easily understood, and having stable\r\nemotions.\r\nThen the factors that affect early childhood self-confidence include: (1)\r\nlack of space for children to explore and expand their abilities (2) often\r\nhumiliating children in front of people because of mistakes they make (3) giving\r\nexcessive punishment (4) the use of authoritarian parenting by parents"^^ .
