This phenomenon has led to a moral crisis among younger generations, manifesting in intolerance and other negative behaviors. In response to these challenges, Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor serves as an exemplary Islamic-based education institution that successfully integrates character building into its curriculum. By emphasizing discipline, Islamic values, and intensive mentoring in daily life, Gontor produces students who excel academically while possessing strong morality, ethics, and personal character. This study employs a qualitative method to deeply explore how the management of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor contributes to character building in its students. Data collection techniques include interviews with pesantren administrators, teachers, and students to understand their perspectives on the implementation of character values in daily life. Observations were conducted to directly examine educational and character-building activities in the pesantren environment, including discipline programs, religious activities, and social interactions. Documentation was also utilized to analyze the curriculum, pesantren guidelines, and relevant activity records. This approach allows the study to provide a comprehensive overview of pesantren management practices that support Islamic character building. Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor implements character education management based on core values such as sincerity (ikhlas), simplicity, independence, Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), and freedom as the foundation for shaping students' personalities. This approach is carried out through methods such as guidance, training, assignments, habituation, supervision, and exemplary conduct by teachers, ensuring students internalize these values in their daily lives. Its effectiveness is supported by well-planned management, structured organization, targeted implementation, and consistent supervision, creating an optimal educational environment.
