Ag. %T IMPLIKASI EVALUASI HASIL BELAJAR HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILL (HOTS) PADA KEMAMPUAN BERFIKIR KRITIS MATA PELAJARAN FIKIH DI MTS AL MA’HAD AN NUR BANTUL %X The background of this research is the lack of critical thinking power of students and the use of questions based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) is still very minimal given to students. HOTS-based questions have a great influence on the way students think, where the use of HOTS questions in MTs An Nur Bantul which is based on Islamic boarding schools needs to increase HOST (Higher Order Thinking Skill) questions, The application of HOTS is expected to be able to make it easier for students to understand problems contextually about Fiqh learning. With contextual problems, students will be able to analyze, evaluate, and develop these problems, so that the learning of Fiqh is not only memorized but can be meaningful. Therefore, the author wants to explore and identify more deeply about the evaluation of learning outcomes that use HOTS-based questions (Higher Order Thinking Skill) as well as find out the critical thinking skills of students in the subject of Fiqh in grade VIII. This study aims to determine the implementation of HOTS-based evaluation of student learning outcomes, and to describe the implications of critical thinking in fiqh subjects. This research is a qualitative research, this research uses a sample technique, namely purposive sampling with the research subjects being Fiqh teachers and students of grade VIII C MTs Al Ma'had An Nur Bantul. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. As well as testing the validity of the data is carried out by triangulation. The results of the research on the implementation of the evaluation of HOTS-based learning outcomes (Higher Order Thinking Skill) in the subject of Fiqh at MTs Al MA'had An Nur, teachers have used HOTS-based questions but they have not been maximized because they are influenced by many factors, including teacher human resources, school policies, time limitations, and limited infrastructure. After the researcher gave HOTS-based questions, students were able to do HOTS-based questions well and it turned out that children had begun to be able to think critically, as evidenced by the answers to essay questions, of the 10 children who were used as research samples, there were 7 children or about 70% of children who completed their studies and there were 3 children or about 30% who had not completed completing HOTS-based essay questions. The implications of critical thinking in the subject of Fiqh at MTs Al Ma'had An Nur Bantul have been implemented well and children have been able to think critically according to the indicators of children's ability to think critically applied in HOT-based Fiqh subject essay questions. But there are still some children who have not met the criteria for critical thinking due to several obstacles.
